Rockwall Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Rockwall County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).
The Appraisal District is giving public notice of the capitalization rate to be used each year to appraise property receiving an exemption under Section 11.1825 of the Property Tax Code for Organizations Constructing or Rehabilitating Low-Income Housing: Property Not Previously Exempt.2011 – 2016 Low Income Housing Rate: 8.75%-9.25%
